We are ever increasing our connection to the local schools and community based youth groups and attempting to promote a healthier and more active lifestyle for the young people of today.  We consider surfing not only a fun activity which anyone can participate in, but rather a sport that young persons can excel at.

Within Saltburn's Surfing Community there are a number of individuals that appear in national magazines, photographers that earn from surfing photography. Further more we have individuals that compete within the sport and even represent England and Wales at a European level.  Whilst surfing for many years has been seen as a rather recreational pastime it is now possible to compete at world level and there are a number of vocational opportunies within the field.

We like to consider that introducing such a sport to a large spectrum of young people will allow for the sport to grow and become ever more popular.  Our surf lessons cover both educational elements relating to the weather charts, beach topography and the physical aspect of catching a wave and riding it.  We run a surf club which we have tried to make accessible to all young person's as an exit strategy to any schools utilising us.  We have also been able to arrange after school clubs with the help of supportive teachers offering participation within the British Surfing Association Junior Surfer Scheme.
